"All of the 900 or so species of wildflowers pictured and described here were found in Western Pennsylvania, almost all in Beaver County, and a large majority within a few miles of my home. Some are "showy", while others are small, even inconspicuous. But each seems to me to have some feature that makes it interesting.

The flowers can be accessed by Common name and by Family. There is an Introduction, a brief Glossary and an Identification Aid. Unlike most guides, this Aid focuses on selecting one or more families that is a likely home for the unknown flower. Each species page has one or more thumbnail photographs that can be scanned to see if there is a likely match.

Hopefully, a Wildflowers of Western Pennsylvania CD-ROM will eventually be available for home printing of a guide.

I welcome comments and constructive criticism."
