Ranunculus bulbosus
An upright, hairy 6-10" plant with a bulb-like base. The basal leaves are 3-parted; the 2 lateral segments sessile, the terminal one stalked and 3-lobed. The few stem leaves are smaller and 3-lobed. The up to 1" flowers have 5 rounded petals, much longer than the 5 sweptback sepals. Blooms May-July in fields, roadsides, gardens.
