Bindweed, Hedge/ Wild Morning Glory

Convolvulus sepium
A creeping or climbing vine with long-stalked, arrowhead-shaped leaves. The showy, bell-shaped 2-3" flowers are white, or pink with white stripes. The 5 petals are completely fused but the 5 overlapping sepals are separate. Two large, overlapping, leaf-like bracts enclose the base of the flower. Blooms June-August in fence rows, waste places, roadsides.
