Artist's crumblecap

Psathyrella delineata
A medium size stalked and gilled mushroom. The cap is up to 4” across, wide for a psathyrella. The brown cap is convex at first, eventually becoming flat. It is often corrugated and fragments of white partial veil often hang from the rim, but there is no stalk ring. Gills are pale brown, becoming darker with age. The up to 4” long white talk is hollow. Grows on dead and decaying hardwoods in summer and fall.
