Aster, Small White
 

Aster vimineus
A branched, smooth 2-5' plant with a purple-tinged stem. The slender leaves are rough on the upper surface and smooth beneath, and some are toothed. The leaves on the flowering side-branches are very small. The numerous, 1/3" flowers are mostly on the upper side of the side-branches and have 15-30 white rays and a yellow disc that turns green with age. The slender bracts have a green midrib. Blooms September, October in moist fields, roadsides.
