Arrowwood, Northern/ Toothed Arrowwood

Viburnum recognitum
A bushy, up to 15' shrub. The opposite, ovate, toothed leaves are pointed and have rounded to heart-shaped bases. The small white flowers are in 2-3" double umbels and are bell-shaped with 5 flaring corolla lobes and protruding stamens. Blooms May, June in thickets, roadsides, woods borders.
